Please make a tax-deductible donation to BCSR 501(c)3:

We are always in need of funding in three major areas:

1. Scholarships: When former camper and cook George Parkinson passed away in November 2014, a fund was created in his name to afford other young people the opportunity to experience the ranch. Tuition for one camper to attend the ranch this year is $1,750 for boys and $1,200 for girls. Please contribute any amount to the scholarship fund to help other youth from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds to participate in this program.
2. Operations: This covers the ranch's annual utilities, taxes, insurance, and administration.
3. Building: Aside from regular maintenance of current ranch facilities, we are constantly fundraising for new building projects and equipment upgrades. Most urgent needs right now include (but are not limited to):
  • Bunkhouse ($120,000): Build second bunkhouse to house 12 boys and 6 counselors.
  • Heating/hot water ($4,000): Purchase and install more efficient water boiler and separate the glycol radiant heat system
  • Summer housing ($5,000): Temporary tents for 2017 overflow
  • New Tires for vehicles ($2,400): One van and two trucks need new tires this year
  • Vehicles, tools, equipment: We are always in need of safe, suburbans, vans, and pick-up trucks, as well as outdoor and sports equipment in excellent condition, power tools, and gardening equipment. Please contact us if you have equipment to donate
    • Chainsaw - We cut a lot of wood every summer
    • Refrigerator - Existing kitchen unit needs replacement with larger capacity
Thank you!
